Co-buying Is The New Affordable Housing Model

The dramatic increase in local demand for housing has sent home prices soaring, and left many homebuyers wondering how to live affordably in urban areas. Many people are now exploring alternatives housing models and co-buying opportunities to create affordable shared property ownership.


We’ll review alternative housing types including co-ops, co-housing and community development, look at examples of affordable opportunities on the market now, and discuss the key points to what makes a successful community.

• Review current properties on the market for each of the 3 community models.

• Analyze the financial breakdowns for sharing costs with other people.
• Describe the administrative and financial steps to shared ownership models.
